Day 1: Fly to Honolulu, Hawaii

Guests who have made their flight arrangements with YMT will met by a representative and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2: Pearl Harbor and National Cemetery of the Pacific

Following the Guest Welcome this morning is an exciting highlight—the Pearl Harbor Experience Tour. You'll stop at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, where you will learn all about the events that brought the United States into WWII. Watch a short film before heading out on a Navy launch around the USS Arizona Memorial, then enjoy some time to browse the Visitor Center gift shop for unique souvenirs. We continue on a slow drive through the National Cemetery of the Pacific, which is set in a dormant volcano known as Punchbowl Crater.

Day 3: Oahu Leisure Day

In and around Oahu

Enjoy a leisure day in paradise from your centrally located Waikiki hotel, just a few minutes’ walk from famous Waikiki Beach and shopping on Kalakaua Avenue. You may also visit the Hawaii Army Museum, which tells the military story of Hawaii; admission is free!

Day 4: Hawaii (Big Island)

Arrive in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii for a day of unique experiences. Visit the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Visitor Center to sample the many scrumptious products and shop for gifts. Take a short tour at the Akatsuka Orchid Gardens, a prominent grower, breeder, and retailer and home to over 500 varieties of orchids. Then discover Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the Halemaumau Crater. The day continues at the iconic Punaluu Black Sand Beach, where many Hawaiian green sea turtles, or honu, rest on the lava and black sand. And to end this exciting day, stop at the Royal Kona Coffee Center, where you can sample several Kona coffees and buy some to take home.

Day 5: Hawaii (Big Island) Leisure Day

You can enjoy your two days of leisure on the Big Island by exploring the “Gold Coast” in a wide variety of ways—riding in a horse-drawn carriage, skimming the seas in a glass bottom boat, or snorkeling below the waves. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, you may choose to take a leisurely walking tour through historic Kailua Town or one of the many island gorgeous coffee plantations.

Day 7: Fly to Kauai

This tropical island paradise is known as the “Garden Isle” because of its daily rainbows, lush forests, majestic mountains, and emerald valleys. Visit the magnificent Opaekaa Falls before heading to the Wailua River Marina for a leisurely boat cruise along the beautiful Wailua River to the amazingly tropical and romantic Fern Grotto.

Day 8: Kauai Leisure Day

If ever there is a place to have an experience-of-a- lifetime, it’s here on Kauai! It’s no wonder that an impressive list of Hollywood productions have used this emerald island as a setting, including Jurassic Park, South Pacific, and Fantasy Island. Kauai is the oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands and it is here that you will find tropical rain forests, forking rivers, and cascading waterfalls. Spend today however you'd like, perhaps even take a spectacular optional helicopter sightseeing flight and circle the entire island and see spectacular scenery, waterfalls, and the breathtaking Na Pali coastline.

Day 9: Fly to Maui

Discover beautiful Maui on a sightseeing tour of the island and a visit to the stunning Iao Valley. Learn about the Iao Valley and Lahaina on a guided tour after you land at Kahului Airport. See Courthouse Square, home to the oldest Banyan tree in the United States, which has grown to a towering 60 feet high with a sprawling canopy that covers an entire city block. The afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy and get settled at your leisure.

Day 11: Maui Leisure Day

This morning, we are including a fabulous event for you—a Hawaiian Farewell breakfast. Spend the rest of your day at your leisure in Maui, the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Known as the “Valley Isle,” this majestic island has two main peaks over a mile high, thousands of beautiful waterfalls and pools, 120 miles of shoreline, and more than 80 golden beaches. Maui is also the best place in the Hawaiian Islands for whale-watching in the winter months. Majestic humpback whales and their calves are common sights, acrobatically breaching in the warm, shallow waters just off the coast.

Day 12: Depart for Home

Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Most flights leave in the evening or at night and arrive on the mainland the next day. (B)
